    Roxbury Octr 22 1768

    Gentlemen,

I have just now received your Letter dated yesterday1 desiring that I would advise with the Council concerning the Propriety of your leaving the Castle & resuming the Exercise of your Commission at Boston. I will accordingly take such Advice with all proper Expedition. I have appointed a General Council to meet next Wednesday, to whom I shall communicate such of his Majesty’s Commands as I have hitherto thought fit to defer making public. And that will be a most suitable Time for asking the Advice which you desire concerning the Removal of you & your Office to Boston. And I shall then be at Liberty to make further Communications to you of the Commands I have received from his Majesty.

    I am &c_
